MCG News 11/04/17

The course was closed for most of last week and so there are quite a few events that have been rescheduled.

The sun did though finally popped its rays out on Sunday and discarding their wet weather gear came those who were hopeful of securing a handy Shoot out score. It was not to be for most with the winners of the day Derek Stephens and Alistair Boyne diplomatically tied on the edge with a Nett 69.

On Monday the Silver Pennants team played at Waikanae against Boulcott Heritage Farm. The gals did not enjoy the lakes and swamp thus the ledger result was in favour of the opposition with Sandra Petersen saving our bacon with a very good half.

The Bronze team also went over the Haywards to Kapiti to play Manor Park with a couple of solid performances from Lyle Griffiths and Jaclyn Kras both 2 UP and a great half to the Captain Jo Loe.

The nine hole inter club team played at Manor Park against Waikanae with Loiuse Lyster having a great match winning 4/3.

The Bisque par results from the Tuesday grumpies last comp was won by Bill Gordon on +10 2nd Adrian Blackett on +6. 3rd equal Alan Yates, Mark Trafford and Terry Blacktop on +5.

The Mens Captains Trophy matches on the bottom half of the draw are now down to the business end with Colin Whibley Smith and Terry Fraei securing their spot in the semi finals.
