It was time to dust off the Clubs for the first week of the Competition year starting on Wednesday with the women, a solid turnout of 33 players for the 1st round of the Captains Qualifier, LGU and Shootout. The Winners played well and the tail enders played well, below par. We also welcomed a number of women who have rejoined the Club this year.

Leading the Shoot out scores for 2017 was Alison Tipler Nett 66, 2nd Jane Terpstra Nett 69 on a c/b to Georgie Wadey on a c/b to Lyle Griffiths on a c/b to Sylvia Beavis. All Teed Up Nearest the Pin on Number 6 was won by Angela Busby while Venetia Morison picked up the Medici Cafe voucher for Number 8.

It was the 16th hole which produced the twos from Jane Terpstra and Venetia Morison.

The Nine hole golf Putting Comp was won by Jenny Tosswill  and Suzanne Dowling with 17 putts. 3rd Jenny Tucker and  Billie Holmes with 18 putts.

Saturdays Bisque par saw a repeat of Wednesdays result sheet, some cracking scores and some rather poor performances.

1st Angela Busby using her handicap to full advantage had a cracking round +11, 2nd Doug Ferguson delighted with his performance +7 on a c/b to Chris Ranish +7, 4th Patrick Pedlow +5 on a c/b to Sandra Petersen +5

Two’s to Patrick Pedlow, with Sheldon McNamara slotting two, he also took home the birds nest.
