The saying it will happen, eventually does, meanwhile we wait in anticipation we ask ourselves when or how long it will take and after a number of years one asks the question, will it ever. Well on Tuesday last week our Vice President Rick Hargreaves had his PB, a 79 off the stick to complete his Par round +7. Bill Jago was close behind with +6. Alan Yeats +5 on a c/b to Mark Trafford.

Interclub on Monday the Silver Pennant team played at Shandon against Royal Wellington Gold, a number of matches could have gone either way, unfortunately it went theirs with us finishing with a win to Bindy McLeod 2 Up and Jenny Wilkie all square.

The Bronze team had a number of rookies in their team and they received the baptism of bunkers playing at Miramar against Kapiti. Leading by example a good win from the Captain Sylvia Beavis 3/1, loving the irrigated fairways and undulating greens Jaclyn Kras 3/2 and a very good half to the match play maestro Felicity Warren.

The Wednesday women played LGU, 2nd round Captains Qualifying and Shootout, with some very good scored posted. 1st  Angela Busby Nett 67, 2nd Karen Shaw Nett 68, 3rd Mary Desbonnets Nett 69 on a c/b to Jaclyn Kras.  Twos Jill Baker and Mary Desbonnets.  All Teed Up Nearest the Pin on number 6 was won by Pamela Messervy with Mary Desbonnets picking up the Medici Voucher for coffee and cake Voucher for NP on Number 8.

The Nine hole group had a good crew long this week for their Stableford Competition.  A number of them will see their handicaps tumble after this round.1st Lizzie Goodall 27 stableford points. 2nd Gaylene Selby Neal 23 pts. 3rd Jan Fergusson 21pts on a c/b to Pat Wood on a c/b to Billie Holmes.
