There was a bit of a scramble earlier in the week to select a team to play Tilson Salver against Riversdale at Masterton on Sunday. Selector Gretel was in the hot seat after last months crushing defeat by Carterton with only one player gaining re selection  Sylvia Beavis did not disappoint winning 5/3. Martinborough produced one of their best wins ever in this Comp 5.5 to 0.5. The other wins from Kris Chamberlain 3/2, Marion Mc Kenzie 1 Up, and Mariana Mc Dermott all square

In the four ball wins to Kris Chamberlain and Mariana Mc Dermott 2/1 and Marion Mc Kenzie and Sylvia Beavis 2Up.

The Bronze Pennant team played their rain abandoned matches against a formidable Te Maura at Heretaunga on Monday. Felicity Warren was on fire winning her match 4/2. Marion McKenzie sliding in 2/1against Club stalwart Faye Turner. In the four ball Felicity and Jaclyn Kras 3/1.

The Men hosted Mornington on Saturday and home advantage catapulted the lads to top of the table winning 13.5 to 1.5. Wins from Craig Andrews 7/6, Gavin Lovejoy 7/6, Colin Whibley Smith 6/5, Sheldon Mc Namara 5/4, Dean Scheaf 5/4, John Warner 5/3, Derek Stephen 3/1, Alistair Boyne 2Up and Glen Schofer all square. In the four ball Sheldon Mc Namara and Chris Ranish 3/2, Colin Whibley Smith and John Warner 5/3, Gavin Lovejoy and Dean Scheaf 5/4, Craig Andrews and Derek Stephen 3/2 and Glen Schofer and Alistair Boyne 2/1.

The Tuesday grumpies played a Par round with Bill Jago winning the comp +6 2nd  John Errington and Peter Price on +3.

There were eighteen players representing Martinborough at Cartertons open day on Wednesday and a large portion did not go home empty handed. Thats to Braiden Intl for subsidising my groceries this week.
