Grumpies results; 1st Nick Allen +4, 2nd Rick Hargreaves +2, 3rd = Andy Morison and Tony Taylor on square. Twos went to Rick Hargreaves and Ali Holmes.
Ladies played a stableford competition last week 1st Carol Parkinson, 2nd Ju Allen 3rd Bindy McLeod; Bindy and Carol also got Nearest the Pins. They played their shootout yesterday – results next week.
Thursday was a stunner of a day and there were over 13 groups sent off from various parts of the course (no complaints upheld by organisers!), 1st = Paul McKenzie & Craig Andrews, 3rd = Sheldon McNamara & Rob McCreary 5th = Doug Clark & Dean Schaef. Twos – wait for it 17… way too many to mention – sorry guys!! Nearest the pin – Sheldon.
Saturday was Medal, putting & shootout – and one of the last days to qualify, 1st Pete Griffiths 68, 2nd Malcolm Wood 69, 3rd Rob Lopez 71. Putting: Malcolm Wood and John Warner – 30 putts John Warner had the only 2.
Sunday was the Baarrbraa Tournament against Eketahuna – and a busload of Merry Martinborough Men & Women travelled up for it. Unfortunately, the home team prevailed and Eketahuna won the trophy, but a good time was had by all and as usual the Eke Club put on a great day – Thank you!
Men’s club champs are getting into the final stages – good luck to all of those still involved, have a good weekend and good golfing everyone!
