The Saturday and Sunday competition was Medal/Putting – On Saturday 1st Chris Ranish Net 73, 2nd Andrew Tuck on a countback from Seamus O’Sullivan 3rd Net 75. Chris Ranish won the Putting with 25, and there were no Twos. On Sunday 1st on a countback Jason Shaw Net 72, from Brian Russo Net 72, 3rd on a countback Chris Ranish Net 75, from Emily Loughnan Net 75. Putting winners on 28 were Phil Eberlein and Trevor Petersen. There were two Twos, Dayle Scrimshaw on #8 and Jason Shaw on #12.
Grumpies – Results from the Stableford round on Tuesday 27 August – 1st Tony Taylor and Jason Shaw 34 points, 3rd Brian Russo and Brent McKinlay 33 points. There was one Two – Jason Shaw on #6.
9-hole ladies – On another fine Wednesday we played a PAR round. Results 1st Alison Russell -1, 2nd Tania Williamson -1, 3rd Lorraine Little -2. PGG Wrightson’s closest to the pin #8 – Alison Russell. #16 – Lizzy Thompson.
18-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday 28 August Par/MSB – 1st Carol Parkinson on a countback -2. Carol is on a Winning Streak, with Four in a Row, or we could call it a Quadruple. No pressure for next week Carol to get a Glut (5 wins in a row 😊), 2nd Juliana Allen on a countback -2, 3rd Kelly Taylor -3, 4th & 5th Karen Delehanty, Sandra Petersen -4, on a countback from Felicity Warren and Marie Scrimshaw also -4. Closest to the Pin on #6 Karen Delehanty, #8 Juliana Allen. Twos – none today.
Thursday Club – Stableford results from Thursday 29 August – 1st Bruce Sollitt 35 points, 2nd Paul Riddiford 34 points, 3= all on 33 points – Jason Shaw, Brent McKinlay, Ed Brown, and Ro Griffiths. One Two on #16 was Jason Shaw, and Nearest the Pin was Malcolm Bridge.

Martinborough Squash Club Casino Night fundraiser – Saturday 5 October 2024 – Martinborough Town Hall – $50/ticket.
Your sporting neighbours are holding a Casino Night to raise funds towards the exterior clubhouse repair and upgrade. Don’t just complain about how the squash courts look against the golf club’s new building. Help the small active membership to get that painting done. Get a group together, pull on your fancy dress (Great Gatsby theme) and have a great time. Professional croupiers running the tables. Some casino chips, a drink and supper included in ticket price.
