The Saturday and Sunday competition was Stableford – On Saturday 1st Guy Walmsley 34 points, Chris Brooks 30 points, Bruce Ward 27 points, and Bruce scored the only Two on #6. On Sunday 1st Guy Walmsley (again😊) on 37 points, 2nd Chris Brooks on a countback 36 points, from 3rd Doug Clark 36 points. Jason Shaw and John Taylor scored Twos on #6, and Chris Brooks on #16.

9-hole ladies – On a very soggy Wednesday we played a Nett round, 1st Jane Fanslow-Price 40, 2nd Lizzy Thomson 42, 3rd Alison Russell 43. PGG Wrightson’s Nearest the Pin #8 Lizzy Thomson, and Tingay Davidson on #16.
18-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday 4 September LGU – 1st on a countback Marion McKenzie Net 79, 2nd on a countback Karen Shaw Net 79, 3rd Jenny Wilkie Net 79, 4th on a countback Bindy McLeod Net 80, 5th Sandra Petersen Net 80. Closest to the Pin on #6 Karen Shaw, #8 Bindy McLeod. Twos – none today.
Cotter Rosebowl – Congratulations to Jo-Anne Loe, Juliana Allen, Emily Loughnan, Bindy McLeod, Jenny Wilkie, and Angela Busby for winning the Cotter Rosebowl competition for the 2nd year in a row. And thanks go to Carterton Golf Club for hosting the day. Well done ladies 😊

Martinborough Squash Club Casino Night fundraiser – Saturday 5 October 2024 – Martinborough Town Hall – $50/ticket.
Your sporting neighbours are holding a Casino Night to raise funds towards the exterior clubhouse repair and upgrade. Don’t just complain about how the squash courts look against the golf club’s new building. Help the small active membership to get that painting done. Get a group together, pull on your fancy dress (Great Gatsby theme) and have a great time. Professional croupiers running the tables. Some casino chips, a drink and supper included in ticket price.
