The Saturday and Sunday competition was Stableford – (a reminder to pay $5 to the Office and write your name in the book). On Saturday 1st Shane Hislop 34 points, 2nd Dayle Harwood 32 points, 3rd John Warner 29 points. There were no Twos. On Sunday 1st Arthur Warren 42 points, 2nd John Warner 38 points, 3rd Brian Russo on a countback 34 points. The only Two was Arthur Warren on #12.
Grumpies – Results from the Stableford round on Tuesday 6 August – 1st Pete Halstead 38, 2nd on a countback Kris Mason 37 from Derek Stephens and Bob Tosswill. Two Two’s for Chris Ranish on #6 and #16, a Two on #8 for George Hunt, and #16 for Ro Griffiths.
9-hole ladies – Last Wednesday 7 August – A glorious day on the course on Wednesday. Results from the Stableford round, 1st Doreen Allan on 22, 2nd Gaylene Selby Neal on 20, 3rd Lizzie Thompson on 19. PGG Wrightson’s Closest to the Pin #8 Gaylene Selby Neal, and #16 Ali Russell. Twos Tingay Davidson on #6.
18-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday 7 August – 1st Carol Parkinson with a Net 75 including Twos on the #6 & #16! 2nd Juliana Allen with 76 including a Two on #12, 3rd Bindy McLeod with 77 (Bindy check out the Shootout board!), 4th on a countback Karen Shaw from Deidre Thomson and Nicola Warren. Closest to the Pin was Angela Busby on #6 and Jo-Anne Loe on #8. Kelly Taylor was closest to the marker on #9. Emily Loughnan & Nicola Warren were the winners of the Putting competition with 30 putts.
Congratulations to Jacquee Reid – Firstly, cast your minds back to April when we played for various cups etc. Jaquee won the Aotearoa and the Veterans Cups. These results go through to the National level and Jaquee’s score (Net 64) placed her 3= in the Aotearoa Cup in NZ! And 2nd in the Veterans Cup in NZ!
Thursday Club – Stableford results from Thursday 8 August – 1st Bruce Ward with 38 points, 2nd= on a countback Alistair Petrie, followed by Brent McKinlay, Gavin Redmond, and Tim Loe all on 36 points. Twos were Seamus O’Sullivan on #8, and on #16 Jason Shaw and Kieran McGoverin. Nearest the Pin was Seamus O’Sullivan.
