Tuesday Tome 15Oct24

Hello Golfers.

The rain came and went for a mainly dry but cool Lamb & Chardonnay 2024. This year saw 33 teams enter and congratulations to the winning team – Robbie Robinson, Aaron Donges, Taylor Dewis, and Tom de Groen. There were lamb meat packs and chardonnay aplenty and many happy recipients thanks to our generous sponsors Poppies Martinborough, Scotty’s Meats, and the organisers Shayne Hammond and Pete Griffiths. And thank you to the Lions who ran the BBQ for us. Well done everyone and the full list of winners is attached.

Last Saturday 12 October was a Par round, and the top five placings were +2, so the results on countbacks were 1st Arthur Warren, 2nd Kieran McGoverin, 3rd Jason Shaw. Brent McKinlay scored the only Two on #8.

The competition for Saturday 19 October is Stableford. The Baarbraa Trophy is on Sunday 20 October. We have the two-yearly exchange with Eketahuna Golf Club and this year they visit us. It is a Stableford competition. Morning tea at 11am, tee off at 11.30am. Turn up and register on the day.

Thank you to everyone who has ordered (and re-ordered!) the Sei Cento Pinot Noir. You have helped us raise almost $9,000 towards the new clubhouse. There are only around 10 cases left – so if you want to get some before it goes, get in quick. www.SeiCento.co.nz
