AED training is booked for a 9am start (finished by 11am) on Thursday 28 August. Update your skills, and learn how to save a life. Places are still available.
Do you like the smart black jackets that the staff wear at MGC (and some of our members)? You can purchase one for yourself! – $99 Interclub players, $129 members, $159 non-members. We have a couple of sample sizes to try on. Please come and see us at the office.
The Wairarapa golf clubs reciprocal discounts have been brought in line with each other. Green fees are $25 for 18-holes, and $15 for 9-holes. Junior green fees remain unchanged.
18-hole Ladies – Today was a special day with our Fun Day at The Morgans, Paekakariki. It was touch & go with the inclement forecast but 14 of us played. We had the course to ourselves. The course is in the most magnificent condition. There was not a weed in sight and the planting of natives is extensive and continues. Our winners for the round were Juliana Allen, Jenny Wilkie & Bernadette Pither on 13 stableford points. For anyone wanting a wonderful golf experience The Morgans is $45 a round or $35 if you have 10 people. All bookings are on-line.
Grumpies – Stableford results from 29 July – 1st Tony Taylor 37 points, 2nd Mark Gray 36 points, 3rd James Elworthy 33 points, 4th Brian Russo 32 points, 5th= Arthur Warren & Lloyd Warren 31 points. Only one Two today for Paul Riddiford on #8.
Thursday Club – Stableford results from 31 July – 1st Johnson Williams 37 points, 2nd = Doug Clark & Brent McKinlay 36 points, 4th Malcolm Wood 35 points, 5th= Ben Masters & Matt Thomas 34 points. Nearest the Pin was Matt Thomas, and Twos for Shane Hislop on #6, and Ben Masters on #8.
