Hello Golfers.
Results from the Mens 54/36 Hole Open held Saturday & Sunday 5 & 6 October – it was a busy and successful weekend. I’ve copied the results to the end of this email and hoping that you can all read them easily. Many thanks to everyone that helped during the days leading up to and during the weekend – Shayne Hammond and Kris Mason thank you.
The competition for Saturday 12 October is Par. Lamb & Chardonnay is on Sunday 13 October.
On Sunday please bring cash for the BBQ Bar, roving cart sales, and BBQ. And preferably not $50 and $100 notes please 😊
Grumpies – Results from the Stableford round on Tuesday 1 October – 1st Rod Cranswick 40 points, 2nd Brian Russo on a countback 37 points, 3rd Derek Stephens 37 points. Twos on #6 Brian Russo, on #8 Rod Cranswick, on #16 Malcolm Wood.
9-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday 2 October – The 9-hole ladies played the first round of club championships on Wednesday with the winners progressing to the next round. Those not playing in the club champs enjoyed a fun game in great conditions.
18-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday 2 October – 1st Angela Busby’s winning form continues with a fabulous 40 Stableford points! 2nd Emily Loughnan 36, 3rd Katrina Burgess 35, 4th Juliana Allen, 34, 5th Carol Parkinson 34. The only Two was recorded by Bindy McLeod on #6. Closest to the pin on #6 was Juliana and on #8 was Felicity Warren. Karen Shaw was closest to the Busby Marker (Kitchener voucher).
A shout out to Honor Clark who has had an impressive season. She was playing the very-hard-to beat Deb Donaldson with a handicap differential of 9 but Club Champs is off the stick. Deb was 1 up on #18 and later they were seen on the 3rd! After 21 holes, it all came down to the putt and unfortunately for Honor her long putt lipped out. Honor we are so proud of your effort… just shows never give up on the golf course!! Well done and congratulations Deb.
Thursday Club – Stableford results from Thursday 3 October – 1st Brent McKinlay 39 points, 2nd = on a countback in this order Paul Riddiford, Seamus O’Sullivan, and Tim Loe. One Two was scored by Tony Taylor on #6, and Twos on #16 for Tim Loe and Doug Clark. Nearest the pin was Malcolm Bridge.
Sunday Club – are playing on Saturday 12 October, 9.40am start. Please note the earlier start. A new concept – Sunday Club on a Saturday. Please be ready by 9.35am.
