Alcohol on the course – A reminder that our course is NOT licenced for alcohol consumption. This includes any alcohol purchased from the Bar as well as BYO. The SWDC and Police conduct spot visits. The last thing we want is an individual fine for you, or a club fine or suspension for MGC. Please respect these limitations and help us ensure everyone can enjoy the course without putting themselves or the club at risk. Thank you for your cooperation.

Ladies 9 holes – Round One of our 9 Hole Club Champs was a Stunner. Eight couples competed while a group of us followed behind to practice. (For next year!). Congratulations go to the winners on the day: Jane, Tania, Judy, Billie, Lizzy, Ali, Jill, and Melissa.
Ladies 18 holes – Results from last week. Congratulations to Emily Loughnan on her hole in one on the 10th hole. I can safely say she was nearest the pin on that hole. Nearest the Pin on #16 went to Karen Stephens. Karen also got the only Two. 1st: = Jo Loe, Julie Dondertman 37 points, 3rd: Emily Loughnan 35 points, 4th: = Alison Tipler, Adele Cairns 33 points.

Lamb & Chardonnay – The annual Lamb & Chardonnay Ambrose was a pearler of a spring day, and 40 golfers went home with generous Lamb cuts from Elworthy Farms on the popular Tora Coastal Walk; and sumptuous chardonnay from Colombo Martinborough – these prizes are the secret to making golf popular at home!
Our huge thanks to all the volunteers who sold sandwiches & beers, cleared tables, restocked the bar, cleaned glasses, created the draw, worked out results, and looked after all our players. Our professional team in the office, bar, kitchen, and on the greens made the day run so smoothly (like the greens!) – we thank you!
