Grumpies – Stableford 8 Sep – 1st: Richard Waddy, Sandy Bidwill 35 points, 2nd: Malcolm Wood 34 points, 3rd: Shayne Hammond 32 points, 4th: Brian Russo, Arthur Warren, Johnson Williams 31 points. No Twos.
Ladies 9 holes – We enjoyed the sunshine and super fast greens while playing a Stableford round. 1st = Billie Holmes (welcome back) and Jill Murphy 18 Stablefords. Then 3rd = Melissa Riddiford, Jane Fanselow-Price, Sarah Harvey 15 Stablefords.
Ladies 18 holes – Cotter Rosebowl was played on Friday. The winners were Eketahuna on 89 points, 2nd: Martinborough on 79 points, 3rd: Carterton 76 points. The weather was lovely; however, it was very wet underfoot so the scoring wasn’t easy.
Results from Wednesday’s Stableford: 1st = Nicola Warren, Alison Tipler, Jo Loe 31 points, 4th: Bindy McLeod 29. NTPs #10 Honor Clark and #16 Carol Parkinson (I think), sadly no Twos.
Thursday Club – Stableford 10 Sep – 1st: Mark Gray 35 points, 2nd: Andrew Tuck 33 points, 3rd: Johnson Williams, Shane Hislop 31 points. No Twos today. Only nine players finished due to the rain. Nearest the Pin #10 for George Kirk.
36 Hole Strokeplay – Big day on the course today with the Men’s 36 hole Strokeplay competition (made possible by Southdown Villa – check them out on Air BnB for a fab place to stay!) – and wowser who took home not one, but two new pieces of silverware for their (growing) collection? The one and only Freddie Gloag – who averaged 80 gross over the two rounds (Dad had to be happy with third place!). Overall Nett Winners: 1st Freddie Gloag 142, 2nd Jason Shaw 146, 3rd = Matt Gloag, Mark Gray, Chris Ranish 149. Junior Gross Winner: Trevor Petersen 198, Intermediate Gross Winner: Freddie Gloag 160, Senior Gross Winner Jason Shaw 154. Congratulations to all.
