We had a great turnout and response for help at the recent Firewood Working Bees. Many thanks to everyone that helped. Sandwiches and smoko from Jacquee Reid and Bindy McLeod kept everyone hydrated and fed – thank you ladies for your efforts.

The weekend competition was Stableford on 30th and 31st March and there were no entries on the 30th. The results on the 31st were 1st Alan Bradnock 40, 2nd Brian Russo 37, 3rd Brigitte Boenisch-Brednich 36. Two’s went to Alan Bradnock #6 and Derek Stephens #8.
This weekend the Sat and Sun comps are Par.

18-hole ladies – Last Wednesday was a busy one for the stewards so thank you and to Sandra Petersen for all your help! The Coronation Cup (0-18.4) was won by Angela Busby with Nett 74. The Aotearoa Cup (18.5 +) was won by Jaquee Reid with a Nett 64. She also won the Vets Cup! The Gross Cup was won by Ju Allen with 89. The Competition was Nett so the places were: 1st Jaquee Reid, 2nd Sharon (what-a-season) Jepson 67, 3rd Nicola Warren 69, 4th Katrina Burgess 70, 5th Julie Dondertman 71 on a countback from 3 others!
A special mention to Jo-Anne Lowe who scored a personal best at Riversdale in the Basil Bodle Trophy played during Easter. Jo-Anne played beautiful golf witnessed by Nicola Warren and has her name on the trophy for a second time. It’s a special trophy in memory of the founder of Riversdale.
Grumpies – Results from the Stableford round on Tue 26th March – 1st Chris Handley 39, 2nd Arthur Warren, 3rd = Rick Hargreaves & Mariana McDermott 37. Twos went to Brian Russo on #6, and Lachie McLeod & Mariana McDermott on #8.
Thursday Club – Stableford results from Thu 28th March – 1st Andrew Sim 41, 2nd Mariana McDermott 38, 3rd Kheinan Morrissey 36, and 4th = on 35 – Tony Taylor, Felicity Warren, Sandra Petersen, and Ro Griffiths. Nearest the Pin was Johnny Gray, Two’s went to Graham Wilson and James Elworthy on #6, and Kheinan Morrissey, Mariana McDermott, and Ed Elworthy on #12.
Sunday Club – 10am start time on Sunday 7th April.
The Sunday Club on 21st April (Reserve 28th April) will be extended and run as a fundraiser for Isaac Burt (Brian Russo’s grandson), who has been selected to represent NZ at St Johns competitions in Hong Kong. Flyer attached.
