Hello Golfers.
The Saturday and Sunday competition was Medal/Putting – On Saturday, 1st Sandy Bidwill 73 points, 2nd Shayne Hammond 74 points, 3rd = Jason Shaw and John Warner on 77 points. And Sandy won the Putting with 28 putts. Twos went to Murray Hill on #12. On Sunday, 1st was Josh Hawkins 70 points, 2nd Guy Walmsley 71 points, and 3rd Richard Warren 73 points. Josh also shared the lowest putting score of 27 along with Tora. Malcolm Bridge got a Two on #16, and Ant North got three Twos! On #6, #8 and #12.
This weekend the Saturday and Sunday comp is Par 22 & 23 June.
9-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday 12 June – on a glorious winters day the 9-hole ladies had a superb turn out with 19 players to play a Par round. Results 1st Tania Williamson on +1, 2nd Ali Russell on 0, and 3rd Phillipa Reid on 0. PGG Wrightson’s Closest to the Pin results – #8 no-one, #16 Lizzy Thompson.
18-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday 12 June – 1st on a countback was Jo-Anne Loe with 34, 2nd Nicola Warren, 3rd on a countback Bindy McLeod with 33, 4th Karen Delehanty. Nearest the Pin was Bindy McLeod on #6, and she got a 2. Angela Busby on #8, and she got her 2. Twos were also scored by Jane Terpstra and Jo-Anne Loe on #8.
A fabulous Clubhouse fundraiser raffle from Angela Busby … $10 a ticket – there will be three draws for:
• a birdfeeder built and kindly donated by Richard Pither (Bernadette’s husband)
• a rockfish artwork by Angela Busby
• a yellowhead (bird) artwork by Angela Busby
The raffle is open to all club members and visitors. The three items are on display in the Clubhouse. The raffle will be drawn on Wednesday 10 July.
All proceeds will go to the Clubhouse fundraiser.
Grumpies – Results from the Par round on Tuesday 11 June – 1st Shayne Hammond +4, 2nd John Tanner +2, 3rd on a count back Seamus O’Sullivan +1, followed by Pete Halstead +1, and Richard Waddy +1. Twos on #6 Guy Walmsley, Brian Russo, and Lachie McLeod, and on #8 Seamus O’Sullivan and Chris Ranish.
Thursday Club – Stableford results from Thursday 13 June – 1st Stu Taplin 40 points, 2nd Jason Shaw 39 points, 3rd Rob Smith 39 points, and a cluster of players on 35 points – Sandy Bidwill, Kieran McGoverin, Kane Sim, Tony Taylor, Ed Elworthy, and Chris Hanson. Nearest the Pin was Rob Coy. Two Twos went to Jason Shaw on #6 and #16, also Twos on #6 were Andy Morison, Malcolm Wood, Pete Price, Stu Taplin, and Shane Hartnell. Rob Coy got a Two on #8, and Brian Russo on #16.
