Hello Golfers.

The Saturday competition was Medal/Putting – 1st Dayle Scrimshaw Net 70, 2nd Jason Shaw Net 71, 3rd on a countback John Warner Net 76. There were no Twos.  The Putting winners were Dayle Scrimshaw & Chris Ranish both with 29 Putts.

Competition for Saturday & Sunday 28 & 29 September is Medal/Putting and Rounds 22 & 23 of the Shoot Out.

The AB Martin Mixed Foursomes was played on 22 September – There was a wonderful turnout of 27 teams and the rain mostly stayed away. 1st Kris & Mark Mason Net 71, 2nd Trevor Petersen & Kelly Taylor Net 73 on a countback from 3rd Britta Fraser & Garth Lippitt Net 73 on a countback from John & Cathy Taylor Net 73. 5th on Net 74 Tora & Jenny Boyne, 6th Deidre Thomsen & Tim Loe on Net 75, 7th Carol Parkinson & Lyall Callaghan Net 77.

We have a result for the Men’s Captains Trophy – Congratulations to the winner Doug Clark, and runner up Shayne Hammond.

Grumpies – Results from the Stableford round on Tuesday 17 September – There was no play today as it was only 7 degrees and there was snow on the Remutaka Hill.

9-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday 18 September – 1st with 18 Stablefords, Jane Fanselow Price, 2nd with 16 Alison Russell, and 3rd Jenny Joblin with 15. PGG Wrightson Nearest the pin on #16 – Lizzy Thompson. No one on #8 this week.

18-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday September 18 – the course was soggy! – 1st with 0 in a PAR round was Sherry Weatherstone, 2nd Sandra Petersen with -3 on a countback from Jenny Wilkie, 4th Nicola Warren on a countback from Bernadette Pither. Closest to the pins were Carol Parkinson and Jaquee Reid. Twos were scored by Sherry (2) and Jaquee. The Birds Nest remains unclaimed. It costs $1 to be in the chance to win the pot!

Thursday Club – Stableford results from Thursday 19 September – 1st Johnson Williams 37 points, 2nd Chris Ranish 35 points, on a countback from Robbie Walters and Kieran McGoverin also 35 points. Twos on #6 Shayne Hammond, and on #16 Ailsa Malneek and Jason Burt. Nearest the Pin was Pete Price.

Sunday Club – Be ready for the Draw at 9.55am and remember Daylight Savings starts on Sunday!

Last weekend’s Sunday Club played at Mahunga, AND congratulations to Ed Brown who scored a Hole in One on the 17th 😊
