Men’s Interclub results – Div 2 were at home to Masterton and had a solid 10.5 v 4.5 win. Div 2 currently sit 3rd on their leaderboard with 33.5 points. Div 10 were away at Trentham for a narrow 8 v 7 loss. 7 points is a great result at a tricky away venue. Div 10 are currently top of their leaderboard with 38 points.

Here’s the results from the 9-hole ladies Stableford round last Wednesday 28th February – 1st Jenny Joblin 27, 2nd Kay Harvey 25, and a tie for 3rd Mary Herrick and Jenny Tosswill 22. Closet to the pin was Jenny Joblin on #16.

Last Wednesday, a hardy group of 15 of the 18-hole ladies (plus the 9-hole ladies) turned up and played in on/off rain. 1st Nicola Warren with a nett 63, 2nd Katrina Burgess who also got the only 2, 3rd Karen Delehanty, 4th Jenny Wilkie. Closest to the pin on #6 and #8 was Karen Shaw. Speaking of #8, Nicola managed to hit her ball into the conifer and miraculously it hit the trunk and came out!

The Riverside team faced Riversdale at Carterton last Friday. With most games going to the 18th the competition was fierce – Karen Shaw and Nicola Warren had wins while Sandra Petersen, Emily Loughnan and Jane Terpstra had halves. This gave Martinborough a 3½ to 2 ½ win. This was the first round so a great start. Special mention must go to Karen who has had wins in Pennants, Tilson & Riverside – great effort and thank you!

Thursday Club – Stableford results from last week 29th February – 1st Paul Riddiford 45, 2nd Gavin Redmond (Royal Wellington) 41, 3rd Mariana McDermott 38, 4th Sandy Bidwill 38, and 5th Robbie Walters 37. Nearest the pin went to Sandy, 2 x Twos Jason Shaw, and Twos to Sandy, Seamus O’Sullivan, Ed Brown, and Malcolm Wood.
