Baarbraa Trophy is back at Martinborough GC! We won with an average of 31.27, with Eketahuna on 30.38. Martinborough 1st Ro Griffiths 39 points, 2nd on 38 points Guy Walmsley, 3rd on 37 points Arthur Warren. In the Ladies division, 1st Emily Loughnan 38 points, 2nd Jane Fanselow-Price 37 points, and 3rd Venetia Morison 36 points. Eketahuna 1st on a countback Lachie Duffy 39 points, 2nd Hilton Delegat 39 points, 3rd Mack Duffy 38 points.
Last Saturday 19 October was a Stableford round, and 1st Seanoa Isaac 44 points, 2nd Mark Gray 39 points, 3rd Jason Shaw 35 points. There were no Twos.
The competition for Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 October is Par. And it’s Labour Weekend 😊

Grumpies – Results from the Stableford round on Tuesday 15 October – 1st Shayne Hammond 39 points, the following players all had 34 points, and on a countback 2nd Bruce Sollitt, 3rd Seamus O’Sullivan, 4th Pete Price, 5th Malcolm Wood. Twos were on #6 – Bruce Sollitt and Seamus O’Sullivan.
9-hole ladies – Results from Wednesday 16 October – this week we played a putting round. 1st Mary Herrick on 16, 2nd Jenny Joblin on 17, 3rd Doreen Allen also 17.
18-hole ladies – Results from the Par round Wednesday 16 October – 1st with +1 was Marion McKenzie, 2nd was Julie Dondertman 0, 3rd with -1 was Felicity Warren, 4th -2 was Juliana Allen on a countback from Karen Delehanty and Bindy McLeod. Our Steward Jenny Wilkie deemed the weather inclement, but the spirits were high so paid out to 7th place! Closest to the pins were Deirdre Thomsen and Bernadette Pither. No Twos were recorded.
Thursday Club – Stableford results from Thursday 17 October – 1st Gavin Redmond 40 points, 2nd through 6th all scored 37 points and were placed in this order Kheinan Morrissey, Brian Russo, Doug Clark, Graham Wilson, and Brent McKinlay. Three Twos on #6 were Stuart Taplin, Kane Sim, and Jason Shaw, and on #8 Sandra Petersen, Paul Fairweather (Royal Wellington), Mike Charteris, Ed Elworthy, and Gavin Redmond. Gavin was also Nearest to the Pin.
