Coming up in November we are hosting the 36 Hole Mixed Foursomes on Saturday 11th November (flyer attached). It would be lovely to see this tournament well supported so if you haven’t got a partner let the office know and we will try and find you someone.
Results from last week: there was a good turnout of Grumpies with Rick Hargreaves leading the way with 44 points, 2nd Ed Brown 41, 3rd Jason Shaw 39 and equal 4th Bob Tosswill and Malcom Wood with 38 points. Twos went to Greg Dalton, Seamus O’Sullivan and Jason Shaw.
On Wednesday the ladies were playing Club Championship matches and four hardy souls braved the weather and played a nett round with the winner being Kelly Taylor with a nett 70. There were no nearest the pins or twos.
Once again there was a good turnout for Thursday Club. Malcolm Bridge was the winner with 40 points, Tora Boyne 39, Lachie McLeod and Robbie Walters 38, Greg Dalton and Charlie Cresswell 37 and Rob Smith, Kheinan Morrissey and Shane Hislop 36 points. Nearest the pin went to birthday boy Glen Schofer who got his two along with Greg Dalton and Dayle Harwood who managed two twos.
The competition at the weekend was Par with Robbie Walters leading the way on all square, Ed Brown and Julie Dondertman -2. There were no twos.
On Sunday a few of our players went to Eketahuna to defend the Baarrbraa Trophy – apparently the conditions were very trying with bags blowing over and people barely able to walk in the wind. Congratulations to Eketahuna on reclaiming the trophy.
The competitions for this week are: 9 Holers have their Club Champ Finals, 18 holers have further rounds of Club Champs and those not playing in CCs have a Par round and the weekend competitions are Stableford.
That’s it for another week.
