Beautiful sunshine today which hopefully will help the course to dry out.   Holes 15 and 18 are still closed for play but this will be reassessed on Thursday morning.

Coming up this weekend we are hosting Porirua Club and they are teeing off multiple tees at 9.30am.  Sunday is the Mens 36 Hole Strokeplay Championship teeing off at 8.30am – let me know if you are keen to play in this.

Last Tuesday 18 Grumpies played a Stableford round with Brent McKinlay taking the money with 39 points, Shayne Hammond 38, Pete Price 35 and Tony Taylor 34 points and no one managed to get a two.

On Wednesday the Ladies played Shoot Out/Medal/Putting – the winner was Honor Clark on a countback with nett 78 from Ali Tipler and Julie Weber.  Adele Cairns was the only one to get a two and nearest the pins went to Honor on both #6 and #8.  Lyle Griffiths took out the putting with 26 putts.

The 9 holers played LGU/Best Nett/Shoot Out with Jenny Joblin nett 39, Debbie Coom 42 and Jill Murphy nett 42.  Nearest the pins went to Debbie on #8 and Tania Williamson #16.

Thursday Club had a good turnout with Bill Gordon winning on a countback with 39 points from Matt Thomas and Sandra Petersen and Rob Smith 38 points.  Twos went to Tony Taylor, Bevan Sweeney, Tora Boyne, Stu Taplin and Shane Hislop who also got nearest the pin.

The weekend competition was a Stableford round with Josh Hawkins the winner with 38 points from Phil Eberlein 37, Pete Griffiths and Troy Shaw 34 points.  Twos went to Steven Croft, Ed Brown, Malcolm Wood and Derek Stephens.
